The Development Foundation for Zimbabwe (DFZ) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization created and driven by Zimbabweans. Its principal purpose is to provide a platform for constructive engagement between Zimbabweans in the Diaspora and fellow compatriots in the Zimbabwean government, business, civil society and the general public.
Our vision is to foster, encourage and facilitate the building of an informed and organized Diaspora to become a key stakeholder in the development of Zimbabwe.
To contribute to the development of Zimbabwe by ensuring that Zimbabweans are at the forefront of this process regardless of their geographical location. To mobilize, organize and develop the capacity of the Zimbabwean Diaspora to participate effectively in Zimbabwe’s development.
Promote and facilitate the active participation of Zimbabweans in national development Institutionalise and harmonise the engagement of Diaspora within processes of national development Ensure that the Diaspora contributes effectively to constitutional, institutional and policy reform development Promote and facilitate global competitiveness of Zimbabwean Diaspora Improve the welfare and development potential of Zimbabwean Diaspora communities
The DFZ is guided by certain values and core beliefs: Ubuntu, Gender equality and equity. At least 50percent participation of women in all processes Inclusivity in all processes. All processes are non-partisan, non-sexist, non-tribal and non-racial, we forbid all forms of discrimination. Patriotism, Sustainable development, Accountability and transparency.
